1 HD I just installed, but it 's not seeing it.
Mayer. That is the HD I just installed, but it 's not seeing it. It sees it under first aid, and says it's verified, but it has the speed wrong and I'm getting input/output error when trying to erase, partition, and write zeros. I put the old one back in to confirm i didn't damage any cables on the install. I left a message for I fixit to ask whether it's a known problem. Will your fix listed here work for this HD? This would be better asked in your own question so we know which machine you have. Did you use the jumpers to slow the drive down to your BUS speed?
