[NAND] Find flash media and keepout

I recently installed a new ifixit screen on my girlfriends iPhone5, and it worked fine, but the speaker did not work due to the spot on the camera where the speaker "grounds" to being ripped. So I had an old, fried, iPhone 5 laying around, and decided to use its good condition camera. Install went smooth, no issues at all. Went to turn on the phone, and boom, NAND error. I researched and researched and researched, tried several methods. I can't get the phone to go into DFU mode, but I can get it in recovery. I tried restoring it from recovery mode, but it gives me ERR: 4013. Researched it, updated iTunes, updated my Mac, made sure firewalls are off. Still ERR: 4013. I tried leaving the camera unplugged, and at one point it did not give me the NAND error, but it did not boot passed the apple logo. I put all the old stuff in, and still no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I encountered the same issue, I have fixed countless iPhone 5's up until this point. Kudos to iWillFix, this solution worked for us

I noticed this error occurs when the device is turned off intentionally or the battery drains, once the device attempts to reboot the Error occurs. so with that being said, make sure you turn it on and off with the camera flex disconnected, and when you replace it with the new one, i would sleep better by testing it about 5 times to make sure it still boots with no errors.

A few tips for testing this method, disconnect the camera flex with the device on while its showing the NAND error, do a hard reset by pressing the top button and using a metal spudger to make contact where the home button flex makes contact with the charger port. (I do this often on other iDevices *works like a charm and saves precious time)

THIS IS THE CORRECT ANSWER !------->>>>> IT DOES NOT SUMS UP IN THIS !!

this issue is happening and can happend from the U2 chip ! which is causing kernel panic ! also the back lcd bezzel is shorting the lower connector make sure it is not shorting everything !!! KERNEL PANIC CAN BE CAUSED FROM SEVERAL REASONS AND NOT ONLY THE CAMERA ASSMBLY AND DISPLAY !!!!

HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU! the u2 CHIP CAN ALSO CAUSE THIS

NAND errors are typically due to a flex problem.--with the case described here, it is almost certainly the camera flex.

Had this problem happen to me a couple days ago. Turned out to be the front camera/proximity sensor flex cable. Ordered a new one and installed it and this fixed the issue.

Where is the U2 chip? And I am getting the same running scrip down the screen with only a fresh screen plugged in, no camera.

I did change a bunch of caps that a customer knocked off in self-repair attempt. Got them all on and getting this error. Don't think the chips had polarity. Double checked. No polarity on the ones I changed. Checked continuity and everything checked out.
