What did I mess up with my hair dryer?
I bought my MBA already liquid damaged (broken battery, keyboard, and trackpad.) I guessed that I could just clean it out and fix it. And the price was right so that if I couldn't then I could sell it for parts for no loss. I followed a guide to cleaning off circuit boards, ribbons, etc. Used 92% alcohol and a toothbrush. After reassembling (triple checked everything) I couldnt hear the fan spinning on startup, but everything worked perfectly. it was charging and the keyboard and trackpad worked. But the mba was unuseably slow. Further research brought me to the conclusion that there was still liquid and that I should dry it off. I was advised to use a hair dryer on the cold setting. My hair dryer doesnt have a cold setting so I used it normally. I let the macbook sit for awhile and then tried to start up. Nothing happened. Completely bricked. Did I over heat something? Logic board? ISO? SSD?
