MacBook Pro Late 2011 won't power on

While connecting a LogiLink Solar Charger (http://logilink.com/showproduct/PA0055.h...) to my MacBook Pro via USB it went off immediately and shows no sign of life since.

The Magsafe light is neither green nor amber nor dim: it's off; the very same Magsafe unit however works flawlessly on another MacBook Pro, including the green/amber light.

When the battery indicator button is pressed, not a single led goes on, despite the battery was on 100% when the incident happened.

Needless to say, the MacBook does not power on. Simply put, it does totally nothing.

Could a fuse be blown or should I assume that the whole thing is toast? Any help is appreciated.

In case your interested, the case is now solved.

I disconnected the battery and then connected the Magsafe unit: the MBP powered on and started the boot sequence. Disconnected the Magsafe, re-connected the battery and then re-connected the Magsafe: the MBP powered on again.

The battery indicator shows that the battery is completely discharged, but now it is charging again. I guess the incident did nothing good to it, but at least the MBP is up and running.

Exact same thing happened to me and this fix worked. I did not need to boot it off of the Magsafe. Just disconnecting the battery connector, letting it sit for a few seconds, and then snapping it back on was all that was needed.
