got the same problem, at the 27 inch one.... it stays black but the lcd is working you can see it when you use a torch or the led of your iphone....
for a quarter second it appears the light and picture in the screen but then its gone....
usb and charging is working....
its only the light not the lcd

Sounds like an inverter board issue to me. Would you give us your specific model number?

What happened just prior to this? Any power surge, fluid exposure? Since the LCD is working but the screen stays dark, we know that your backlight is out
