How to change the oil in a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis?

I am completely a newby and I am very interested in learning how to change my oil in my 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis which has 99128 miles on it. Every three months I am paying an oil change company approximately $60.00 for an high mileage oil change. Will you please explain in detail in steps from beginning to end the process of changing my vehicles oil for the first time in my life.

Troy, Here is a great video that truly shows step-by-step. From opening the hood to changing the oil, the only thing I would like to add to the video is that an oil filter wrench will come in handy to remove the old filter and to install a new one. For this model I believe they suggest to use a synthetic blended version 50/50 synthetic blend after 75000 miles, and use the 5w-20 version of this as well. Since you did not tell us what engine size your vehicle has, I can not tell you how much oil it will take, so you may have to look at the owners manual. Hope this helps, good luck.
