iMac hard drive upgrade
The current hard drive I pulled out of my iMac A1173 is a 160GB of my system, can i upgrade the size and or what is the max this iMac will take?

You have many options here, up to the current big boy a 3TB HD drive! Or even a SSD. Or both, by swapping out the optical drive for a special carrier creating a dual drive system.
The only limit might be your OS (if you still have OS-9). The only other wrinkle here is the HD ATA interface in this system is only SATA I (1.5Gb/s). Today many HD's are SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) and some don't have a way to run at the slower 1.5 Gb/s I/O speed. Make sure to verify the drive has a means to be jumpered to the slower I/O speed.
