I have an IPhone 4 that does not power up or does an over night charge seem to help. It will not connect to ITunes or will my computer seem to acknowledge it's even connected. Could it be the battery or something else?

scassidy, yes, it could be the battery. But it is also possible that it is the dock connector. The dock connector is the part that would tie together the charging and the connection to your computer. I'd start with the battery, and then the dock connector. Use this guide to replace the battery, and this one for the dock connector. You also should try a different cable, just to make sure that that is not was cause you the trouble. Hope this helps, good luck.

oldturkey03, thank you for your response. I ordered the replacement battery along with a tool kit. I hope the battery resolves the issue. But with the dock connector, I tried 3 cables and still no resolve. Could it be the dock connector instead of the battery since I tried 3 cables?
scassidy, yes it could easily be the dock connector. You are doing the right thing by starting with the battery, if nothing else it will give you a clean starting point. If that does not work, try a new dock connector. Thank you for accepting my answer.
