Internal audio circuit dead.

Hi,

I probably blew the audio circuit in my MBP by connecting the output of an amplifier to the mic input of the MBP. ;-(

I know this is really stupid but I was using a software oscilloscope to test the amplifier and got carried away by the sine waves.

Now the MBP doesn't show any input or output devices anymore. Just as if the circuitry was absent. I suspect that the audio circuit got overloaded and burnt up.

Is there a remote possibility that the audio circuit has a protection (i.e. fuse) that could be replaced ?

Than's for your insight.

Gekozen oplossing

As a work around you could purchase and use a USB audio adaptor... USB audio is separate from analog/optical audio.
