My internal hard disk is 0 byte and a flashing question mark

I have been striving to bring my laptop to life, however, I am seeing a flashing question mark on my MacbookPro screen.

Scenario was like : My Mac got frozen for almost half hour and I shut it down by pressing power button.

I tried disk utility and it is just showing me Media and it is 0 byte.

I ran DiskWarrior and it gave following error: An unexpected error occurred while communicating with this hard drives built in S.M.A.R.T. diagnostics, error -536870210, 28260C-

Your internal hard drive has definitely failed - try booting the computer from DVD after disconnecting the hard drive cable from the logic board.

Do you have the original restore discs for this computer? It requires 10.6.3 minimum, and a Snow Leopard retail DVD would not necessarily boot the computer. There are two revisions of the Snow Leopard DVD - 10.6.0 and 10.6.3. If you have access to another Mac, try creating a Lion or Mountain Lion DVD to test with.

Sleep mode would not cause a hard drive failure, as the drive heads are parked just as if the computer was powered off. A drop or strike, however, could be the culprit.

If you have AppleCare on this computer, I recommend taking it to an Apple Store or Authorized service provide and let them deal with it for you for free...

did you messed up with the drive recent? the '?' symbol indicates that Mac is unable to locate system software to load the OS. Before your Mac froze up did you noticed any unusual drive behavior like some clicking sound?? Disk Warrior is a great tool but tool will not overcome any physical damage caused on the hard drive components. They can cure the logical ones. Would suggest you to try simple steps to cure th issue: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1440?viewl...

Otherwise you might need a technical expertise.

I tried above link also. My Mac Retail DVD also doesn't boot up and it freezes at Apple Loading screen.

But I also used to travel keeping Mac in sleep mode. I think this could be the culprit.
