re: Power Ribbon Cable

I have had an ongoing nightmare which started out as a digitizer replacement that ended with tearing the Power Mute Volume cable. I ordered what I was told was the correct part for the PMV cable however as you can see by the associated pictures of Figure A the ribbon does not continue back to Power control board nearest the power button. Figure B shows a working iPad 2 with the same model number of A1395 . You can visually see the difference between the two cables..

Now for my question

1/ Is there more then one PMV cable for the iPad2 A1395 ?

2/ What if anything is missing from the iPad to make it power on?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I got frustrated and had it sent away to a company that works on iPads. They told me among other things I need a new Power Control Board ?
