Water damage. MBP won't start

Hello all,

I cleaned my MBP last week end and probably used too much water. Here is what happened:

- Cleaned the mac on friday evening with a sponge and probably too much water

- Used it for 30 minutes and I turned it off as usual. Nothing wrong

- Restarted it 4 hours later. MBP started but shut down on its own after 1 second

- The red light on the power socket still turns on

- I let it dry for 2 days on the ground on my bathroom with heated floor on at 25 degrees Celcius

- On sunday afternoon tried to turn it on: MBP started but shut down on its own after 1 second

- I tried to start it again afterwords but nothing happened

I dropped it off at a premium reseller (no apple store in Norway). They say the upper case has to be replaced (700$) but damage might extend in the future to other components.

I don't think it's worth it as the MPB was purchased in January 2012.

Is it possible to repair myself the upper case that I have and not have to buy a new one ? (I already ordered on this website all the tools needed to remove the upper case). I tried to look for decent priced topcase on ebay but none fit my description; most of them are 2009/2010 models.

Thanks guys!
