iPhone fell from 1 foot, doesn't work anymore.

Hello everyone!

My iPhone fell from about 1 foot, the display is black, like it has been turned off. Since then the iPhone became very hot, but has been cooled down now..

I tried to turn on the phone: nothing happens

Held homebutton and powerbutton: nothing happens

Plugged into a computer: nothing happens.

I hope it's something with a display-connector that isn't connected anymore, but would that declare the intense heat it produced since the fall?

That comes to my second thought, that there can be some damage to the motherboard.

Does anyone else have any ideas?

I would very much appreciate it!!!

Kind Regards,

Gertjan

I'm not sure, because I can't see your phone.

Try to unplug your display data cable and plug it back properly.

Here the guide for you :

iPhone 4S Screen Replacement

Reboot your phone.

If it doesn't work, then you have to change it.

Finister, something important to tell is, that he keeps rebooting, if I plug in the phone. I keep on hearing the boot sound, but nothing happens on the display.

I can see him on iTunes, but i can't restore..

I tried entering, fixing and exit recovery, but still no success.

On iTunes a message pops up, that the device isn't 'legible'.

Doyou see cracks on your screen? Or white or colors lignes on your screen?

Finister, no cracks, no white/colored lignes :(

Can it be something with the logic board? However, my Ifixit Pro Tech kit got delivered today, and now the pentalobe bit is damaged so i can't open up the iPhone... Now it's waiting for the single pentalobe bit to arrive.

But already a big thanks for your info and cooperation!

I don't think so Gertjan De Mulder, in worst case I think you have to change your display assembly. There are very few chance for the motherboard to be affected, your iPhone fell only from 1 feet high.

Finister, ok, thanks for all the info!

I'll try to fix that when my new pentalobe bit arrives, but first my other iPhone where i accidently poked off a capacitor from, i guess, the logic board. -.-'
