Unable to Format or Partition30 GIG Quantum Fireball Plus hard drive?
Unable to Format or Partition30 GIG Quantum Fireball Plus hard drive?

Tekst:

I had a working 30 GIG Quantum Fireball Plus hard drive. I need to install it in a iMac G3 233 to donate. I tried to partition the first 8GIGs at 7.5 to be able install the system correctly. The partitioning failed with a "Resource busy" error. Then tried a standard OSX extended format, same error. Then tried a zero all data and I get:

Disk Erase failed with the error:

Resource busy

I have it in an external Firewire enclosure, hooked to a G5 MacPro 2.0GHz DP. Any ideas?

Thanks
