Check the status of the touchscreen in Device Manager to see if it is installed correctly or whether it is disabled etc.
Go to ''Device Manager > Human Interface Devices > HID Compliant touch screen.''
* If there's a red cross next to the entry, ''right click'' on the entry and select ''Enable device''. Then right click on the listing again and select ''Properties'' and check in the General tab, that it shows "this device in working properly" in the device status box.
* If there's a yellow exclamation mark next to the entry, ''right click'' on the entry and select ''Update drivers'' and follow the prompts. You need to be online for this to work.
-
* If there's no Compliant touch screen entry shown, click on ''Device Manager > View > Show hidden devices'' and search through the categories to see if you can find it listed anyway in Device Manager.
