Try looking for a boardview file for that laptop motherboard. A boardview is much easier to understand than a schematic.
Boardview have the same layout of parts like the actual motherboard and their connecting points. You would be able to see which parts are connected to.

As for the boardview file for your laptop, there are youtube channels that gives you download links to boardview files for specific models of laptops. Just input your laptop's model plus the word boardview.
