Unfortunately for me, I've been at this for a week and even with an amazon charger, connecting to the pc, trying different sockets and cords, even trying to charge and let flat line, the battery acts like it's not charged one charger and then when plugged in, it acts like it has no charge. I've even reset it. so I guess I need to consider a new tablet or battery.
