Screen powers on but only blue after battery replacement

I’ve completed the battery replacement. When testing to make sure everything worked and turning it on before remounting the screen, the LCD lights up dimly but doesn’t show anything. The screen is just a dark blue color but isn’t showing any of the power up icons or the OS. Anyone have any ideas how to trouble shoot this? Thank you!
