Titel:

Placed my iPod on a magnet - is it cooked?

Tekst:

I was fiddling around with my iPod and I was going to connect it to iTunes on my Surface Pro, which has a magnetic closure thing for the keyboard/screen sleep function. I set the iPod down on the magnet of the keyboard and immediately it shut off and has been making clicking sounds and showing a red X on the screen instead of booting. I know the battery is fine as it holds a charge and it boots into diagnostic mode. Upon research, it seems like a hard drive issue. I'd like to know if there's any way for me to potentially fix this without opening it, as with my luck, this is apparently the hardest iPod of this type to open.
