Hey there! I had the same 009-654 error on my Dell C1660w printer, and it drove me nuts for a bit. Here's what I did to fix it:

First off, I checked the toner cartridges. I made sure they were all snug and properly placed. It sounds simple, but sometimes it's the little things, you know?

Then, I swapped out the toner cartridges with fresh ones. It turned out my old cartridges were running on fumes, and putting in new, genuine Dell cartridges did the trick.

After that, I gave the printer a breather. I turned it off, unplugged it, waited for about a minute, and then powered it back on. Sometimes these machines just need a little reset.

If you haven't already, check for a firmware update on the Dell support site. A quick update might sort out any compatibility issues.

But hey, if none of this does the trick, don't hesitate to hit up Dell support. I did, and they walked me through some more specific steps based on my printer model. It's always good to have the experts on your side.

Hope this helps you get your printer back on track!
