Gee, this question has aged nicely. I'm probably fairly late to this but i'll have a crack.
Having done a quick purge of the internet, I'm going to guess some kind of storage settings thing has gone bust. This would be the thing that stores all the settings like wifi networks, printing preferences and ***alignment settings***. The question is, what would that be?
Maybe it could be the onboard computer on it's way out. When did it start doing this?
