Hi @drossowen,

I've been checking around but can't find any indication that the front glass/digitizer on your laptop can be replaced separately from the LCD. Every site I can find only sells them as an assembly, which usually means they would need specialized equipment and expertise to separate them. That tells me they're fused together and can't be replaced by us normal DIYers. Usually that sort of replacement requires a vacuum table with wire guides, a vacuum chamber and a UV chamber, none of which most of us have lying around.

So if you want to fix that touch screen, it looks like you'll have to replace the complete display assembly. Here's the iFixit guide showing you how to do that replacement.

If you want, the Microsoft Service Guide is also available with the "official" instructions.

It's rather expensive, but you can buy a replacement screen right here on iFixit if you want to support their repair efforts.

You can, however find them substantially cheaper at the big retail parts outlets like Amazon, eBay and AliExpress. Here's one that came up on my cursory search; I'm sure you can find lots more to choose from.
