After cleaning roomba I3, i keep getting Error 14 that the dust bin is not present even though it is. The support article says "Buy a new bin." The bin looks in good condition:

I disassembled the whole robot to find that there is a switch that detects the bin presence:

The switch behind this seems to work (bin not present it is closed, bin present open).
There are also sensors that detect if the bin is full:

The questions: Can these two sensors that should detect if the bin is full also cause error 14 - bin not present?
What is the rationale behind the solution offered by the support - buy a new bin?
Is there a way to make roomba think that the bin is present and always empty?
