Also download and save - printing it out would be a good idea for quick reference.
Do any lights come on when just the battery is installed and you press the power button?
Do any lights come on when the battery and the charger are pluggged in? That is, does the battery seem to be charging?
With the battery installed is there difference when just the battery and when battery AND charger are plugged in?
Have you tried taking out the main battery and uplugging charger from the laptop then open case bottom panel and take out the coin shaped CMOS battery. Once done press the power button and hold for 30 seconds.
Then reassemble and plug in old battery - presumably it still has a charge - and press power button. Anything?
You say, “''Now it indicates that there is a problem with the battery recognition by the laptop.”'' What “it”? If it won’t power up when the battery is in how are you able to see a message?
You also state, “. . . ''I installed the new battery and BAM,, the screen went blank. . .”. Do you mean it was up and running when you installed the battery and it went blank.''
Have you run HP’s diagnostic software? From the Service Manual:
To start HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI:
''1. Turn on or restart the computer, quickly press esc, and then press f2.''
''The BIOS searches three places for the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) tools in the''
''following order:''
''a. Connected USB drive''
''NOTE: To download the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) tool to a USB drive, see''
''Downloading HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) to a USB device on page 95.''
''b. Hard drive''
''c. BIOS''
''2. When the diagnostic tool opens, use the keyboard arrow keys to select the type of diagnostic''
''test you want to run, and then follow the on-screen instructions.''
''NOTE: If you need to stop a diagnostic test, press esc.''
This is a start. Let us know how it goes. Carefully note what happens looking (lights) and listening (fan noise, etc.).
