The problem lies with the deformation of the plastic housing. The hourglass button near the power button is “depressed” by the warped plastic housing. Pinching this area together should free up the buttons and unit will become responsive. [br]

I just knifed out the circle around  the plastic hourglass button . Since my main concern was using the BT and power button normally.
