All answers are correct, but let try to clearify. There are rows of LED (light emitting diode) lights that emit the light for the screen, and on top of those are glued the reflectors, which brocrastsbroadcasts the light created by the LEDs. There is a white defuser panel that covers the reflectors, which evenly defuses, the light created by the LEDs. The LCD (liquid crystal display) screen sets on top of the white duffuser panel where the light passes through the LCD screen creating creating the picturepicture for the screen. When the reflectors fall off the LED lights, the bright light from the LEDs appear as a white ringrings or spotspots on the screen. You have two options if the screen is not under warranty, pay to have it repaired, or do it youself. There are videos on the internet that show you how to do the repair, but keep in mind if doing it yourself, it can be a very tedious, and delicate process, especially with larger screen tv’sscreens. It is not always as easy as it appears in the videos; one little mistake, and your out of a tv!
