Had this issue this morning - replaced ink cartridges (3rd party is what I have always used) and still had the issue - the only thing that would remove the error is if I replaced a cartridge then turned off and back on the printer and got to the settings after the new ink cartridge message and turned wifi OFF.  The first time I tried to adjust my wifi settings and got the system error code again before I could finish (and once you get that you can’t do a darn thing!).  But the second time I went and turned wifi off and am using a wired connection and not having an issue.

I have heard that HP will do an update that will make the printer no longer recognize the 3rd party cartridge?? Is this true? Could this be the case with my problem?  It was no longer recognizing my cartridges?
