When doing printer repairs I have found paper jams that have the leading edge of the paper “dented” are, usually” the result of small pieces of paper left in the paper path. This can be cleared by using a thin, flexible sheet of plastic cut to size of the sheet of paper. The average Dollar store has this sold as “Cutting Boards” I also use the plastic cover from used spiral note books, this is not always easy to find. This saves the time of dismantling the printer to get the sliver of paper out, when all you have to do is push the plastic sheet up from the paper tray.
