Black screen when powered on- No connection to other monitors

Hi all,
When I turn my laptop on, I have a black screen- not backlit at all. I connected it to another display, my Wacom Cintiq and it said No Input Signal. When powered on, all the lights turn on but the hard drive light slowly fades out. The fan is running as well. I tried replacing the hard drive with a new one and still nothing. If it’s a BIOS problem, how do I access it from a black screen?? Thanks for the help!
