Hi Joseph, I would verify that all connections are being made correctly. Try disconnecting the battery, power draining the device by holding the Sleep/Wake button down for 5 seconds, check LCD, and Audio cable connections, and then reconnect the battery. Check to make sure that the flex was not damaged during the process by either heat or kickedknicked by a pry tool. I hope this helps you out.
