A little over a year ago my iphone stopped working, so I brough it to Apple and they told me it had water damage. I have since replaced it with a 3G, but want to see whether its worth fixing the 1G. If I plug it in to a dual ac/usb plug it powers up and seems fine except for the back button. Once I unplug it, it automatically powers down. If I try to plug it in with a regular AC power adaptor, it will not power up at all. It also says 'Repair needed: iPhone cannot make or receive calls. www.apple.com/support' when it does power up. Any ideas on were I should start in trying to troubleshoot what needs replacement?
