I have just ordered a replacement screen, for what I thought was my iPod classic 5th Gen. But, it turns out that the screen I ordered is minutely thicker than my original screen (but less than half a mm) ... But it's enough to stop the screws securing the screen in place.
-So, I would say that if this is anything to go by, then I should be very careful in what you buy. I'm stumped by my little problem, so I guess this is what's meant by thick and thing parts?!?!? I would be forever grateful if I could read the A**** number on the rear cover, but it's so scratched I can't even see where it was!

Anyone ... thinner screen means what? It's an 80GB iPod classic, but what gen, model A**** etc?
