Hello!
Two days ago my LG G4 had some whiskey spilled over it at a party. The phone seemed to work relatively fine (the touch screen seemed to be a bit unresponsive) the next 2-3 hours or so. We used it to play music which was working fine, notifications and internet connections were fine as well.
However, the next morning the touch screen was not responsive at all. Everything else, again, seems to be working fine - the time and date were accurate, I kept getting notifications and receive calls as I normally would. Howver I would not be answer to answer them since nothing touching anything on the screen did nothing. I put the battery out and let didnt turn it on for 24 hours but nothing changed.
I'm thinking of taking it to a repair shop tommorow, however I have several questions before doing so:
1. In your experience what does the unresponsiveness mean? Is the screen damaged (even though there are no signs of actual damage), or is it just the sensor part?
2. Is there any chance to try to do the repair myself?
3. How much money do you think the repair shop will charge me?
4. Do you believe there's hope for the phone, or even the data in it? (It's quite important)
