Guys, its the CHARCOAL CANNISTER or the evap sensor that connects the cannister to the throttle body. Octane is highly volatile. The Charcoal cannister traps the volatile octane from the fuel tank and lines and supplies that to the throttle body while the driving to maximise fuel efficiency. Clogged or blocked cannister or sensor that works intermittently is what causes the Engine check light to come on and it smells like gasoline in the car for a little while when the trapped volatile octane gas escapes under the hood rather than going into the throttle. Just clean the cannister with pressurized air. That shud clear out the dust in the cannister allowing more octane gas to get stored and smooth out the pathway.
