i would think, even though that it seems dry and look dry, it might be a little waterdamage? cause it was there for 3hours as you say, You could try to extract pictures through your computer and phone, in my little quick [guide|75948|tutorial](just click tutorial to get to it) but i cant promise it will work as if it is wateredamage in the phone the memory might be fried, but you could try if you have take the SD card if used? and see if there might be photos on that? my phones usually store all my photos and apps at my SD card
