Try plugging this into your computer.  If iTunes recognizes it then you probably have an issue with the screen. If iTunes does not recognize it my hunch would be there's an issue with the battery (as that's what you just replaced) or with the hard drive and accompanying components.

Double check the connections are tight and not damaged, reassemble and re-test. I'd lean towards a faulty battery if it was working fine before.
