You have to remove the battery, ac adapter holding down the power button for a minute or so. replace all back again and reboot .
-also : remove the laptop's hdd connecting to your desktop, (if available) checking if it works or not
-If it doesn't, turn on - or charge then you can assume that the charging port or charging circuit on the motherboard is shot.
+also : remove the laptop's hdd from the machine. connect the HDD using a USB port (cable or external box) to test if the hard drive was the problem.
