Hi,

Check that your wireless adapter is working properly.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > Network Adapters, expand tree, find your wireless adapter.

Is there a red cross or a yellow exclamation mark beside your wireless adapter?

If yes - red cross - right click on wireless adapter, click on properties. New box will open, middle of box is Device status box. If it states device has been disabled, enable device (click cancel, then right click on wireless adapter, click on enable).

Check that your Wifi is now working.

If yes - yellow exclamation mark, go to the HP website and download the latest wireless adaptersadapter drivers for your model laptop ''and'' OS. Update the drivers then see if your WiFI is working.

If no, and wireless adapter status states that it is working properly and you still cannot ''see ''any networks to connect to, here is a link relating how to troubleshoot wireless problems in your laptop.
