Sam Silvestre, thank-you for your answer.  I read your solution, and did the lazy man's thing:  Took the battery out and heated the phone with a hair dryer, let it cool down, and now I can use my touch screen.  Screen was not working for 24 hours.  Thank-you so much!!!
