iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation: iPod not charging/connecting to pc(dead battery)

Bought a secondhand iPod shuffle 2 with a dead battery. It would not connect to my MacBook or win11 pc, show itself in finder, iTunes, Apple Music, or Apple Devices (app on windows). I tried soldering a nano 6's battery onto it, which have the same voltage and wattage, just to see if it would work, and it did boot up, all the switches on the bottom worked, the headphone jack output audio, the LEDs lit up (green only), but it still won't connect.

I checked the headphone jack and found that all the contacts are connected to the motherboard, but it simply refuses to connect. Another Shuffle 2 I bought half a year ago connected to pc and showed the files in finder despite having no battery soldered on at all. Is there a way to force reset it other than simply turning it off(entering disk mode like other iPods)or is this caused by something else?

iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation: How can I fix the low volume on iPod Shuffles?

I have 6 of these iPod Shuffles 2nd Generation and they have always worked well. But I got them out of storage today and the volume on all of them is too low to hear anything that's on them. I've tried different speakers but that doesn't make any difference. What has caused this? Is there any way to fix this problem or are they permanently useless now?

Being the idiot I am, I washed my Shuffle. In the laundry machine. With detergent. While it was still on. And I didn't even notice I had washed it (as in: it was still on) until about an hour after the wash cycle ended.

iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation: How do I fix/repair the power jack for my iPod?

Hi, when I connect my ipod to a docking station (which is connected to my laptop), it will not charge, or be recognised either by my pc or by itunes.

== Other Info

I have one Apple docking stn, but the jack broke off (it was in my bag), however it still works to an extent, in that, when I plug in the ipod, the ipod flashes orange for about 4 blinks (sometimes erratically), but then isn't recognised at all by the computer.

I own another docking stn, I think its just a generic make. This one lights up when you plug it into the pc, and usually when I plug my ipod in, the computer recognises a USB device but nothing more than that.

Thanks in advance, hope someone can help. :)

I get a reading off of the battery directly before this board, but not when reading off of the other side of it (on the logic circuit board side). What is this intermediary board for?
