iPhone 7: Charging port not working after replacement

One day my iPhone 7 started annoying me saying that the accessory was not supported when I put charger in. At that time I used a compatible charger (I used for much time), so I swapped to an original one but the problem persisted.

I tried the easy solutions to solve it like cleaning the port, restoring the phone and so on but nothing. I thought a battery replacement could solve it but nothing. After all I went for charging port replacement.

I bought the part and I connected it to test and it seemed the charging was back without the accessory error, so I replaced the part but when I turned on the phone it was in boot loop. I checked for solutions and tried some but nothing, then I understood it was the charging flex cable not good pressed into the socket. It turned on ok. Let’s charge! It didn’t work anymore.

I did tons of tests with the new part and the old one and it seems like I’ve to hold pushing a precise point on the flex socket to make it works, if I leave it doesn’t work. Sometimes after a long pushing it seems to be attached and it charges but after some minutes or hours it seems to not work again. I dunno if it can be the socket on the board or if a new charging part can solve it. I’m going crazy. Some experienced this? Thanks for the help

iPhone 7: How to get my iPhone 7 out of bootloop bootloop

Hi,

i bought an iPhone 7 about a year ago with the intention to change the housing as I had successfully done previously.i replaced the housing albeit with a few hiccups, until I turned it on. It is in a continuous bootloop until I power it off with the volume down and power button. I replaced the dock connecter and it booted but my Taptic Engine stopped working (wish I left it now). I discovered that the phone only boots if I have installed the dock connected temporarily on the top of the logic board. But if put the working dock connecter under the logic board as it should be it doesn’t boot just loops

Can anyone give me some help?

Everything is appreciated?

iPhone 7: No image after replacing iPhone 7 screen

yesterday I tried to repair my iPhone 7 display. after I replaced the screen of the iPhone, I didn't get an image on the screen (the only backlight was functioning). after swapping back to the broken screen the iPhone showed an image again. I tried to use a known good screen, but I had the same issues as by the first screen replacement. the broken screen that needs replacement is an aftermarket screen, so I don't think it has anything to do with my replacement screen. I've tried to hard reset the phone, put it in DFU mode, and completely reinstalling the os. this didn't work either. I'm at the point where I don't know how to solve this problem. has anyone an idea how to fix this?

iPhone 7: iPhone 7 still on bootloop even after updating the software

Hi. My iPhone started to bootloop after I paused the download for the new software.

I already did simultaneously holding the volume down and on/off button on the side. The support.apple.com/iphone/restore appeared (which I think is the dfu mode). I did what it asked, connected it to my itunes on pc, the "There's a problem with the [your device name] that requires it to be updated or restored." appeared, I updated its software but still on the bootloop.

Also, my iphone kept disconnecting for every 15 mins and tried several cables but still kept disconnecting. I downloaded the software through ipsw, installed the new software but still on the bootloop.

iPhone 7: iPhone 7 shows 85% battery health after battery replacement?

I have just had the battery on my iPhone 7 replaced. The battery health shows 85%, and the supplier is suggesting that this is normal and that I should just monitor my battery life to see if its ok.

I have done a full discharge/recharge cycle. I also hard reset it.

This doesn’t sound right. I have spoken to a few other iPhone repair shops. At least 4 say it should show 100% after battery replacement, 1 says that they typically see 95-97% battery health after replacement, and 1 says 80-90% after battery replacement is fine.

If more than 2 shops are saying that it should show 100% after battery replacement, is it reasonable for me to insist on either another battery replacement (where my battery health shows as 100%), or give me back my original battery (which showed 88% health) and a refund.

Appreciate the insight.

Thank you.

EDIT:

I used both Coconut Battery and 3uTools and these were the results:

My original battery health was 88% on the morning that the battery replacement was done.

iPhone 7: Boot loop after back case replacement.

I did follow the guide to replace my iPhone 7 back case. Everything went smooth, I’m 100% sure I didn't mess with screws (everything was tagged and I also made photos after every step), but before final reassembly I decided to check if my phone works only to find out it doesn’t boot. Apple logo appears for 15 seconds, then phone switches off and on. 15 seconds later everything repeats, and phone never finish the boot.

Things I tried one at a time (and they didn’t help):

Disconnected front camera

Disconnected whole display assembly (it didn’t appear in iTunes).

Disconnected back camera

Disconnected back assembly (lightening port and audio speaker). This way it looped faster (in 7 seconds instead of 15)

Disconnected power button assembly

Connected new front camera assembly

I also tried to put iPhone in DFU mode in restore firmware. It succeeded both times, firmware check also succeeded, but iPhone still doesn’t boot. The only thing different is that it loops in 7 seconds instead of 15 like before.

I’m really stuck and don’t understand what I can check at this point. It doesn’t look like Audio IC or modem issue other users are having here, also it shouldn’t be front camera assembly, as I tried to boot without it (and boot with a new assembly) and it doesn’t work too.

UPDATE:

Could someone confirm that iPhone 7 with latest iOS 12 should boot WITHOUT front facing cam ribbon and Touch ID? I know that was an issue on iOS 11 and I’m trying to understand if I have a logic board or display ribbon cables issue.
