iPhone 5c: iPhone not turning on

I have a iPhone 5c. The battery was getting weak in it and would only hold charge for about an hour. After the battery had died the last time it would not turn back on. No matter what trouble shooting steps I took. I fallowed every one I could on Google. Is it just the battery is so fried or could it be another issue. It would make sense that even tho the battery was fried it still turned on when plugged in but no matter how long it's plugged in nor what button combination I try it will not turn on. I would love to get the phone working again . Any ideas?

iPhone 5c: How do you get a pentalobe screw out...it just spins

I tried putting upward pressure on the screen and the screw still spins (this was the answer in another post on the topic Pentalobe screws just spinning!).

I've tried using gravity as I unscrew it.

I've tried pushing the screen toward the back. I've pried the side without the screw up.

I tried finding something sticky to put on the driver, like putty, but to no avail.

I've even, hold on to your shorts, put some superglue on the tip of the driver to pull it out.

What next?

iPhone 5c: The touch is erratic even after several screen changes?

Hello my Ifixit family!

Received a Iphone 5C that a customer wanted to change the screen on, nothing unusual..

First thing I noticed was the water sensor on the back of the LCD was a little pink. I switched over the parts and put on the new screen and everything seemed to work fine.

Then, 2-3minutes later of testing the screen started acting very erratic. It was extremely sensitive to the point where I could use an app without even touching the screen (simply hover my finger directly over the screen resulted in the app starting up)

I've switched out the screen 4-5times now, sadly I don't have another unit to test the screens with though. However I'd also like to point out that the 2 of the screens are from a different batch. So I can't imagine the problem being screen.

Any ideas? I tend to only restore the phone as a last result thing..

iPhone 5c: Screen not responding properly to touch

My screen was not responding to touch as it should (i.e. either no reaction at all in certain spots and otherwise jumping around when touched).

I replaced the screen as advised and at first it was much better as only one small spot on the screen was unresponsive and there was no jumping around. However, after 1-2 weeks it is now worse than it originally was. When the screen is touched it jumps almost every time (i.e. if I click on a message it acts as if I swiped it to delete or if I touch an email it won't open and the screen will jump up and down).

iPhone 5c: Display connectors ever so slightly damaged - cause of broken display?

Bought a damaged iPhone off of someone who *claimed* to of dropped it and the screen to stop working.

I took the iPhone apart to find the battery all wrinkled up as if it's been soaked in water and it was very flimsy to the point where I would be been able to snap it in half effortlessly. I replaced the battery, and now this part is working. I identified this by plugging the iPhone into my Mac which opened up iTunes and Photos.

So my Mac can see the iPhone perfectly fine, comes up in Photos displaying the photos on the iPhone, but there aren't any to display anyway. Comes up in iTunes asking if I want to allow this computer to access information on this IPhone. I select continue and it prompts me to accept on the iPhone screen, obviously the screen isn't working so I can't get any further at this point.

I tried the screen it came with, with the new battery but no luck. I don't currently have a replacement screen to try, but I did have a look at the connectors under a magnifying glass on the existing display assembly (bar the camera, sensor and home button). I noticed the odd one or two damaged pins; perhaps more couldn't tell for sure with this strength of magnification. Now, working in PC repair where things are bigger and less delicate, such little damage to the connectors makes me think it's not that. But my question is how damaged do they need to be to cause the screen to not function?

It should also be noted that a few brackets and almost all screws are missing, so components like the lighting connector, speaker and headphone jack are all loose. Although because I can get the iPhone to,come up in iTunes I don't think it matters too much.

iPhone 5c: Good places to buy replacement screens?

I'm looking for a good place to buy replacement parts. Id love to order off of here at ifixit but I have to pay for overseas shipping as I am in the UK.

I don't want to buy any off of eBay because I know they'll all be a load of rubbish. I've seen some decent ones on Amazon with more reliable branding but I was ideally hoping to get Apple original parts if possible. Also, I'm not looking for anything too expensive as I still need to make a profit on my repairs.

iPhone 5c: Replaced battery, now microphone doesn't work.
