Whirlpool Washing Machine: Why is my washer getting stuck on the rinse cycle?

I have a Whirlpool washer model number WTW4816FW and when I try to do a cycle it will wash, but when it finishes the rinse cycle it starts rinsing all over again. I have been canceling my current wash and then restarting with a rinse and spin and it works fine. How do I fix it to where it will rinse in a normal wash without getting stuck on repeat?

I have a Whirlpool washer/dryer combo in which the washer has stopped working. This happened earlier today. I checked and the dryer still runs. I have unplugged the unit from the wall for a minute and also opened/closed the lid multiple times within a few seconds and that hasn't reset it or anything. I am not sure where in the cycle the washer stopped because I didn't pay attention to the knob before trying to figure out what was wrong with it, but the washer is full of water. I bailed out about 1/3 of the water and tried to 'reset' the cycle to see if it would start to fill up with water again but it still did nothing.

I should probably note that I recently bought some new towels that seem to have shed quite a bit in the dryer (the lint screen was plum full) but I figured if the washer was trying to drain it would at least make some sort of noise.

Any help would be appreciated. I would really like to get this fixed rather than go through the process of buying a new setup.

Whirlpool Washing Machine: Why is there water in the bleach and softener compartment

I rarely use my bleach or softener dispenser in my whirlpool cabrio washer but yet they are both filled with water. I have drained them and and cleaning with a bottle brush to make sure they are not clogged. Of course now that I have this problem I need use them... How can i fix this?

Whirlpool Washing Machine: Whirlpool washer fault/error code confusion

Model # WTW4816FW2 Sensor light blinking. I cleared machine then entered diagnostic phase and tried to determine fault/error. When I get to the point where the fault/error can be read, all I get is the sensor light blinking. All other lights remain off even if I go through the last 4 fault codes. Anyone know what the sensor light blinking in the fault code mode means? Thanks, in advance.

I have a 4-year-old Whirlpool WTW5000DW0 washing machine. A repairman came out 3 times over the first 4 years to address extreme vibration that would walk the washer across the floor and kept saying the machine just needed to be leveled. He would level it, but the washer kept vibrating, although not as bad. Two more visits for the same thing and the same diagnosis and the same attempt to level and the same results. The warranty ran out 6 months or so ago. A month ago the tub started banging against the shell wall making the washer shake violently. I researched and checked the suspension rods. They needed replacing, so I replaced them a month ago. The machine was quieter than it had been in a long time. We were gone for 2 weeks in which the washer did not get used, but now, it’s back to banging against the shell wall and shaking violently and the suspension rods need replacing again. Is there something else that should be checked besides the suspension rods ? I’ve been looking but cannot find any information specific to this model. I’m thinking that if the suspension rods are going that quickly, even being very careful to level the machine and not put large loads in it, something else has to be going on. Any help would be soooo appreciated!!! Thanks!!

Whirlpool Washing Machine: Entire agitator spinning freely both ways

The agitator in my whirlpool washer is not spinning when the washer is running. I can spin both the top and base of the agitator by hand easily both directions. Ik the top could just be the agitator dogs but I didn't think the bottom was supposed to spin also. What do I need to replace to fix it?

I have a 4 year old front load washing machine. If I run it empty (with no clothes), it goes through the entire cycle and drain perfectly with no issues. If I add clothing, it stops toward the end of the cycle, clothes are still soaking wet and there is water that has not drained. The machine beeps with an error message E21. I have had 3 people look at it. Drain is not clogged. Can’t figure out why it runs fine with no clothes but not with clothes.

I have a Whirlpool Duet washer, Model WFW9500TW02, Serial CSW5103289. It wants to do a rinse at the end of the final spin cycle leaving the clothes very wet. the only way to avoid the water getting in is shutting off the water during the spin cycle. Not sure where to start. Thanks!

I have a Whirlpool Duet front loading machine, and the drum filled with water after use. I turned the water off at the wall and ran it through a drain and spin cycle. All the water emptied and, because it was still shut off at the wall, it did not refill over the next few days. Based on what i researched, I suspected it was the water fill valve. I replaced it last night and ran a load with success. I kept the washer lid off so I could inspect for any leaks or other issues. There were none. I woke up (disappointed) to more water in the drum. Will the CLR fix clean the lines from the water fill valve to the drum? Curious if I should try this step or if the issue may be more invasive and require a repairman. I'm fairly handy (the fill valve was easy) but don't want to have to go as far as removing a drum or multiple hoses and connections.

Hello, I have an Inglis Whirlpool large capacity top load washing machine. I bought it new in 2006 which makes it a 10 yr old machine. I'm having 2 problems with it now. First: the spin cycle will either spin too slow to get the water out or it doesn't spin at all. I reset it by unplugging it for a few minutes & plugging it back in & opening/closing the lid a few times then running it through a small cycle, which it then spins. (I read resetting it like that can help, which it did for a while) I wash a new load & sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It agitates fine in wash cycle. I've been washing only a couple items at a time hoping it'll spin, but it doesn't. So I do the lid reset & try again. Most times now, it doesn't work.

Second: almost every time at the beginning of the spin cycle it'll start adding water! Then it'll go into the spin cycle after. Sometimes it spins, slowly, but most times it doesn't spin at all. Please help. I don't have the money to buy a new one so I'm really hoping I can fix it myself

I'm having a hard time finding an answer to this specific scenario. My Whirlpool washer model # WTW4815EW0, about 4 years old, recently stopped spinning out clothes at the end of a wash cycle. We use both the normal cycle and bulky items, and this occurs on both. The problem began gradually, only sometimes would the washer not spin out at the end of the cycle. Now it's every time. However, the strange part is that mechanically it has no issue spinning. After it decides to quit on the wash cycle (clothes are clean and tub drained, but still sopping wet), I just set it to drain and spin and it finishes the job without problem. So I don't think it's a lid latch, a belt, or anything that would stop it from spinning ever. What do I need to do to fix this? The washer was cheap to begin with and the cost of a repair person could easily cost as much as it did new, so if it's not something I can fix on my own I'll just get a new one. Thanks for any help.

I have some updated information. I ran some manual tests and found that the washer spins on low but not on high speed. The low speed test runs without issue. During the high speed test, the motor kicks in for just a second and then immediately quits, with lid lock light flashing. I performed a tachometer test which it also seemed to fail. I checked the belt underneath which looks good. Drive test performed good. Control board has no obvious damage.

Can anyone tell me if this would be the bearings or springs that apparently hold the tub in place? While reading other comments on here I'm wondering if it would be bearings but an older repair man said it would be the springs holding the tub in place that have now become loose. HELP I really need my washer back with having 3 daughters !
