Hi. I have iPad Air 64GB but as I describe this title, touch screen doesn't work.

I mean cannot recognize any touching operation.

I open it but it doesn't have water damage, there are no connection problems. (because screen works well on the other iPad Air)

Asus TF300T Tablet: How to disable the touch screen functionality in an Asus TF300T Tablet

I have a cracked screen and the tablet doesn't react to touch any more. I believe it's fully functional otherwise so I bought a docking station in order to make the best of the mini HDMI port and connect my tablet to the TV permanently and control it via a USB mouse.

However, I was disappointed to find out that although I can see the mouse cursor, after connecting the mouse, I am unable to click anything because the tablets touch sensor seems to be completely out of whack. Once, the on-screen keyboard activated by itself somehow, and I saw that the touch sensor is 'clicking' randomly on many spots of the screen at once and it's impossible to do anything with the mouse.

I saw a video on Youtube of a guy disabling just the touch screen functionality on his Nexus 7 by disconnecting one small cable once he had opened the tablet.

Is such a thing possible in the TF300T ? I am sitting right now, with an opened tabled and watching Youtube videos with disassembly instructions, but I cannot find this one thing that would help me because they concentrate on either replacing the whole screen or on complete disassembly.

iPad Mini: Digitizer freaks out when laid flat on the frame

Ive ran into several instances where as i come to the final step of laying the digitizer back into the frame of the unit, the digitizer all of a sudden freaks out. When i say freak out i mean, it starts pulling the screen left and right, pressing buttons and generally acting like a defective screen. The funny thing is it only acts in this manner as soon as you get into the last 10 degrees of angle when you are laying it into the frame.

The first instance i thought maybe i screwed up and pinched the cable, no biggie, i replaced it paying careful attention not to bend, pinch or twist the cable. As i laid the glass down onto the frame i made sure the cable was folding down into its little cubby and none was getting trapped between the frame and glass itself. The same thing happened! I ordered a new batch of glass and bam the problem was solved with the first piece of glass out of the new batch.

Ive done several other ipad minis between then and now, using that same batch of glass. Since that incident I practice diligence in not bending or pinching the ribbon in any way (even though I dont think i have ever really bent a cable on this particular device in such a way that would affect how it functions). But now with this last mini the digitizer is doing the exact same thing again!

Am i running into defective glass or is there something i dont know? And is it just me or are these minis the home of hardware gremlins?

iPad Wi-Fi: Digitizer(Touch screen), Not responding after Tear down.

Hello,

I am experienced in almost all Mac hardware, but i am stumped w/ this issue. Any Help would be great!(iPad 64gb Wifi)

I tore down my iPad to replace a peeling digitizer. Upon reassembly, The iPad was working O.K., but the digitizer was locking up and responding very poorly. I decided it must need replaced and ordered a new digitizer through ebay. Now after replacing the digitizer, the touch screen will not respond...

The home button works fine, as well as power/volume/lock.The screen also still inverts. Plus it charges and is recognized in iTunes. I have tried resetting it Via Home+power. Any help would be Great!

UPDATE:

It has been nearly a year now, So I figured it can't hurt anything to try a new digitizer. My Ipad still powers on, resets, inverts, connects to itunes, chargers etc. etc. etc. I have thought about this thoroughly and there is no other logical answer besides the digitizer I received is defective.

When the iphone 4 was new alot of the replacement screens were garbage, and I think it ws the same with the iPads. I originally believed I had damaged the logic board when the retaining clips on the logic board broke off, but after speaking to an electrical engineer, He doesn't believe this makes since. He fixed his broken retaining clips using a thin strip of mylar tape under the tab. I ordered a roll of mylar tape and the entire display assembly which includes the display, midboard, digitzer, clips, etc and a roll of mylar tape for 60$, I will update as soon as I receive the shipment.

Update 2:

Replaced the digitizer again, and no change. As a conclusion, this board is fried, and my iPad is a useless paperweight... I would not recommend buying a logic board for one of these, it's just to much money compared to an ipad 2 16gb. It is really unfortunate, Everything works software and hardware wise, but the screen just doesn't respond to touch. You may be able to salvage some of your loses selling it for parts on ebay.

iPad Air: Battery will not charge past 1%

My ipad air only charges to 1%. The battery is flat and when I attached the lightening cable it will make the icon of the cable disappear and show a battery in the middle of the screen that appears to be charging. The ipad gets to 1% and turns itself on but that is as high as it gets. Eventually the screen goes black again and the ipad does not recognise that the cable is still attached. If I remove the cable from the wall charger and put it into the USB on my laptop the whole process begins again until I change it back to the wall charger. I have tried different cables and chargers, some Apple and some not. I initially replaced the charge port as it seemed that was the issue because I could wriggle the cable and get the ipad to show charging. I have checked the soldering and it all appears fine. I Have tried the reset method and leaving the charger attached all night but nothing changes. I am beginning to think the problem may have been the U2 chip all along. Does anyone else think that is a fair assessment or is there something else I should be looking at?

iPad Pro 10.5": Red Flash on boot

I have an iPad Pro from a customer who stated that the iPad would not power up. All original, never opened. Customer stated that she put the iPad on charge one night, and the next morning, the screen was black. She did not have access to iTunes. She also said that the iPad was NOT dropped and not wet. I took the iPad, connected to iTunes, which recognized device in restore mode. Attempted to restore. Toward end of process, Apple Logo comes on the screen for 8-10 seconds, follow by a quick full-red screen flash, then to black screen, with iTunes error 4013. IPad is out of warranty. I’m pretty experienced with replacing screens, batteries, cables, ports, etc., but troubleshooting what seems to be a software issue has be scratching my head. Has anyone experienced this?

iPad 7: Ghost touching WITHOUT the digitizer connected!

Today I replaced the digitizer on an iPad 7 due to it being smashed. Everything went smoothly and before I stuck the screen down I went to verify everything worked. When turned on, the screen would go erratic and it locked itself out due to ghost touching. I opened it back up to check everything and can’t seem to find any errors. I’ve checked the connectors under a microscope and they’re all good. I thought I’d try power it up with the digitizer and home button disconnected and to my disbelief.. it was still ghost touching. Can anyone suggest what I be wrong? Someone has mentioned it looks like the lcd may be faulty but I don’t see how that’s possible when it’s detecting touch with the digitizer disconnected. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Asus Transformer Pad TF103C: Touch screen not working

Hi,

I'm having issues with my Asus tablet running Android Lollipop. For the past few months, the touchscreen would stop working momentarily, then everything would come back to normal after a few restarts. It was more likely to happen when the tablet was charging though. At some point I found a weird hack that was plugging the tablet for a second every time it happened.

Now for the past few days, this would work and the tablet is now useless without its keyboard. I've read on some forums that the Battery Saver app could be the cause. Indeed I noticed a bug with it because every time the tablet was charging I would get a notification saying that an app was drawing too much power, but the Battery Saver app would crash every time I tried to open the notification.

Last night, I disabled the power saving mode and rebooted the tablet (as suggested in the forums) but it didn't do the trick.

This morning, I tried to reset the tablet both via the settings menu and recovery mode, but then touch screen is not working. I also tried to "swipe cache partition" but none of this would work.

Is there anything else I could try? I'm not sure if it's a hardware or a software issue, but as far as I remember the tablet has not received any impact in particular and there's no scratch at all on the screen.

Thanks
