TI-84 Plus CE: TI-84 Plus CE repeatedly turning on and off when charging.

My TI-84 Plus CE will repeatedly turn on and off repeatedly in about 1 second intervals while connected to the charging cable, regardless of the power source its connected to (wall outlet, laptop, power brick etc.). It will not turn on at all if not plugged in. I've tried pressing the reset button to no avail. The cable is essentially brand new. This also happened while it should have been at full charge, though it had been about 2 months since it was last fully charged, but it wasn't used in that time until I tried to turn it on recently. I tried taking the battery out and putting back in, and that didn't make a difference either.

TI-84 Plus CE: My calculator is not charging or turning on

Hi, I just got my calculator (TI-84 plus CE) in the mail and it wasn’t turning on so I plugged it in using the USB cable provided that says it’s for “data transfer and convenient charging”. I am worried because the screen is flashing with a message that says “calculator will restart when validation is complete” so it doesn’t seem to be charging. It’s still not turning on and I have no idea what to do, please help. (This calculator doesn’t have a light on the side so I am unable to see if it is charging or what the battery percentage looks like)

TI-84 Plus CE: How can I fix my flashing screen (TI-84+CE)

My calculator seems to have decided to no longer likes me, and is having startup issues.

It is stuck on a flickering white screen. I can’t turn it off. It doesn’t seem to be turning off on its own. I’d prefer to not have to completely wait for it to drain considering that I just finished charging it yesterday. The calculator does not seem to fully load at all and does not appear in the TI Connect CE program when plugged in to the computer. This is my personal calculator and I’d really like to have it fully working again, and if possible, salvage the programs I have on it. Is there anything I can do, short of buying a new calculator? Or is there a factory reset feature available anywhere I can use?

TI-84 Plus CE: Why won't my Ti84 Plus CE turn on?

My calculator will not turn on despite being at full battery (when it charges it has a green light). The screen does not turn on when I press the on button, instead it stays black. I have even bought a replacement battery online, but this did not seem to help. Before, my calculator would often not turn from time to time, but still turned on occasionally, and it always turned on after a few seconds of charging it, but now it does not.

TI-84 Plus CE: TI 84 Plus CE is stuck in the validating loop

Hello,

I am trying to fix the calculator. When plugged in it is stuck in the validating loop. I have attempted to remove the battery, download the TI software, but when I plug it in it through the USB it does not recognize the calculator. There is mention of a button battery that can be replaced but I cannot find that either. Should I purchase a whole new battery? Is that maybe why it will not get out of the validation loop or be recognized?

TI-84 Plus CE: What voltage is required across the exposed rear charging pads?

Hello,

The back of the calculator has two metal pads that I've seen used in charging stands for 10+ calculators in classrooms. I'd love to make my own and I was wondering if anyone had done any research on how this system works.

Does it work as a LiPo charger where it needs to shut itself off when the battery is above a certain voltage, or is the charge controller embedded in the calculator? Also, more pertaining to the title, does it draw the same 5V that it gets through the USB port or is it something closer to 6V (I saw a TI forum post indicating that the nominal battery voltage was roughly 6V but I haven't actually looked at the battery myself).

Thanks!
