I scratched it taking out the shattered screen, glass got into places. The display itself now works great but you can see the scratches on the top diffuser sheet.

I’ve looked around and made some inquiries, but it’s really difficult to purchase just that backlight.

Any suggestions?

I have Samsung TV speakers & want to add these on Samsung U28E510 monitor Motherboard. Is it possible if Samsung U28E510 Motherboard have the audio port to add these speakers? Pls find the mother board picture I found on ifixit site for Samsung U28E510 Motherboard . Is this motherboard have the audio amplify port to connect Samsung TV speakers?

I have a monitor where the top 1/3 of the screen is dimmer than the rest.

The kicker is, when I give the monitor a good smack or tilt it to the max, it goes back to normal.

Is this a lose cable inside? Lose CFL? or symptoms of a dying LCD panel?

I have a problem with my Samsung T190 monitor: one day i turned it on and it was just darker in half upper screen.

I noticed a burning smell at the top rear of the device too.

Making some web search I found that my CCFL lamp should be burned.

What do you think it can be? If it is CCFL, do you have any video on how replacing it in a samsung monitor?

This has happened both for PC(hp laptop through HP USBC dock to DisplayPort) and Mac(M4Pro MBP through a Tripp-lite dock to HDMI1).

It feels like a software/firmware issue, but I can't find any firmware updates(if they exist, Samsung's support website is...meh).

Anyone have experience/insight?

When unused for few days, monitor flashes brightly then goes black. Passing heat over display (eg. using hair dryer) fixes but it's getting worse. I need to keep hair dryer on monitor for longer to get it working again. Once working, it displays fine once I don't stop use again for extended period.

Samsung tech repair center can't confirm cost due to uncertainty of which part needs replacing. What part could it be and how certain is this? Also, can I repair on my own? I am not an electrician but can screw in a light bulb, use a screwdriver and other handy things :)

I have no idea as to what could have happened to cause this problem.

Firstly, it does not appear to be a problem with any inputs (i.e., HDMI inputs) as the issue seems to be native to the screen itself.
I have tried unplugging all HDMI connections to the monitor, as well as leaving the monitor unplugged for a long period of time before powering it on again.

I have also tried resetting all settings on the device to no avail. The built-in trouble-shooter simply recommends to speak to Samsung about repairs. However, I would much prefer to resolve this issue myself (if possible) before I resort to the Samsung repair route.

If anyone has advice, fixes, or any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

i have a Odyssey Neo G9, which is defective since quite some time. It does not turn on at all. The power LED blinks every 10sec or so very shortly.

I recently began to repair it. I have fixed one component on the mainboard, but sadly it does not seem to be the only broken component. I have circled the swapped component in the Picture. It was causing a short between 20V and GND. That short is now not present anymore.

However, the next problem is, that the "VDRV" Voltages are not supplied. The power supply defines them as 14.2V. When the mainboard is not connected, i measure 13V. When the mainboard is connected, i measure 0V. However, the pin for "BL On" measures 6V without mainboard, 0V with mainboard. I think this means the mainboard does not give the signal to turn on to the PSU, but ill gladly accept any other explanations for the behavior.

The "VDRV" pins are directly connected to the "VLED" pads near the backlight ribbon cables on the right side of the board. As implied, the backlight power is supplied through the same connector that supplies everything else to the mainboard and i can not test the backlight separate from the mainboard. This is most likely due to the mini LED technology used.

The Joystick for turning the monitor on is working as intended, and all signals get to the board, measured in the bottom left.

This leaves me clueless why the monitor wont turn on and i would appreciate any nudge in the right direction, or any direction for that matter.

Sadly i don't have an Oscilloscope and currently don't have the money to buy one.

Could i have broken something, causing this, by replacing the circled part?

The monitor's backlight keeps flashing on and off extremely fast, but there is data on the screen when connected to the pc while it's flashing, i disassembled the monitor and tested the voltages, the side that connects to the leds are fluctuating, so i removed the leds cable and the flashing and voltage fluctuation stops, i changed 4 capacitors on the board, the diode and mosfet connecting to the leds, but to no avail, and there are no shorts anywhere does this mean that the led strip is the problem?
