DualShock 4 CHU-ZCT2U: Controller L2 knop doet het niet

Hallo,

Ik heb hier een jdm 030 ps4 board liggen waarvan de L2 knop het helemaal niet doet maar R2 wel.

Wat ik zelf al heb geprobeerd:

-Nieuwe flex cable (van ali express) gemonteerd

-connectors schoon gemaakt met (i.p.a)

-verschilende weerstanden gemeten met multimeter (op ohms) stand.

Maar ik kom er niet uit en weet mijn god niet waar ik moet beginnen.

Er zat wel voor dat ik de fotos had genomen wat corrosie op en langst paar van de weerstanden maar dat heb ik inmiddels al schoongemaakt met alcohol. Zag er wit kalk achtig uit.

Mijn vraag is welke onderdeel zou er mogelijk vervangen moeten worden ?

En is het wel de moeite waard ? Zo te zien heb ik geen donor jdm 030 printplaat board.

Ik heb de multi meter aangesloten op pin 1 van de voeding connector. Maar ik blijf 1.5 volt krijgen zelfs als ik L2 of R2 indruk. Wil het niet veranderen naar 3.3volt.

Wat zou dit kunnen betekenen ?

Omdat deze vraag heel wat bekijks heeft getrokken op het Engelse antwoordenforum, willen we deze vraag en de bijbehorende meest nuttige antwoorden ook toegankelijk maken voor de Nederlandse iFixit-gemeenschap:

Waarom laadt mijn PS4-controller niet meer op? Als ik de controller op mijn PS4 aansluit, werkt de controller niet (het gele licht brandt niet). Als ik de controller op mijn PC aansluit, licht het gele licht wel op, maar wil de controller niet inschakelen na het indrukken van de PS-knop. Ik heb dit probleem vorige week ook gehad en toen wist ik het op te lossen door de reset-knop in te drukken. Nu heb ik echter hetzelfde probleem en werkt het indrukken van de reset-knop niet als oplossing. Kan iemand mij helpen?

Van de ene op de andere dag werken de pijltjestoetsen niet meer op PC. Na testen heb ik gevonden dat deze wel nog werken op console. Het is dus niet een probleem met de controller zelf denk ik…

Hey,

Ik heb net een nieuwe gaming pc gekocht. Ik connecteer mijn ps3 controller met mijn pc, mijn pc herkent de controller maar mijn controller zelf doet het niet. Na het insteken van de controller plinken de 4 lampjes tegelijkertijd voor een paar seconden, daarna branden er geen meer. Op mijn laptop die ik gebruikte voor mijn nieuwe desktop, ging dit wel gewoon. Wat moet ik hier voor doen om dit te laten werken? Alvast bedankt!

DualSense Controller v2: Why are both my R2 and L2 button not working?

Hi! I recently found 2 PS5 controllers at a recycling point and one of them worked just fine, aside from a little joystick jitter which isn't a big issue because it doesn't affect any games.

The second one however also has joystick jitter, but worse than that: both the R2 and L2 buttons don't work at all! I tested them in Gamepad Tester and both give 0% input when I press them. Because both triggers fail at the same time, I suspect it isn't a problem with the conductive pads, but I am not sure. I already checked and re-seated the cables, but that didn't change anything.

Anyone got an idea of what could be the problem? And maybe a quick fix for the joystick jitter? :)

DualSense Edge: Finding replacement 6-pin ribbon cables for the DualSense Edge

Hello iFixit members!

I'm asking a question: where I can get the replacement 6-pin ribbon cable for my DualSense Edge? I had accidentally damaged the cable during reassembly, and I need the replacement ribbon cable real quick.

It has to be within the exact specification:

6-pin
0.5mm pitch, which is the same as the trigger ribbon cable
3.8 to 4 cm in length. The reason why it has to be in this specific length is because if it's too long, it will push against the back shell of the controller, and if it's too short and the cable won't reach either the mainboard connector or the sub boards (which contains both the back buttons and the relays to the rumble motor)
Conductors has to be on the same side.

I can't find the exact cable on e-commerce stores Aliexpress, hence why I asked for help here,

Update 2 (July 16, 2026): My order at Kasynparts (https://kasynparts.com/product/ps5-duals...) had arrived today...only to find out that it's the 50mm cables (which is way too long to be fit into the controller). I have to place an order at an Aliexpress shop (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10050124...) and is currently wait to see if the shop does actually sell the 40mm cable.

Update 3 (July 29, 2026): my order from Cloukeu IC components Store on Aliexpress has arrived and it fit just right for the DualSense Edge (despite having a little bit shorter blue tap)! With that, the controller is finally fixed!

DualSense Controller V3: Faceplate Compatibility with other versions

Hi, I own a V3 Controller and it is the Spider-man 2 variant controller. It has developed stick drift and I am hoping to avoid having to solder anything.

Can I transfer the face plate and track pad plate onto a V5 controller?

If not, will the motherboard and sticks from a V5 fit and connect with internals from a V3?

For reference i have the motherboard serial number BDM-030. Any help is appreciated I would love to keep the livery on this controller if joystick replacement is the only option then that'll have to do. Thank you.

DualSense Controller v2: Stuck D-Pad even after cleaning

Hey y'all, my down button on the d-pad is 'stuck' so that when I turn my controller on, it's constantly scrolling down unless i actively press UP on the d-pad. The physical button itself is not stuck in a pressed down position. I already took my controller apart and cleaned the rubber + d-pad and the problem is persisting. Does this sound like a software issue then instead of a hardware one? Any advice would be helpful!

I want to open my controller for maintenance because it have drift issues. My question is which type of screwdriver to use—Phillips or JIS? I have both, as I bought the iFixit kit; the JIS seems perfect because the cross-head tip is flat. I really need to know this so I don't strip the screw heads. Also, should it be a size 0 or 00? Thanks a lot.

I'm having a problem with my PS3 controller. I was playing GTA V when the screen suddenly went black, so I turned off my PS3 by pressing and holding the power button for about 10 seconds. After that, I turned the console back on, and it worked perfectly and went to the main menu without any problems. However, the controller has completely stopped working. Even though it was charged beforehand, it's completely unresponsive. I tried connecting it to the console via USB cable, but it didn't work. I also tried connecting it to the charger, but there's no charging light or any indicator light. When I press the PS button, no light comes on at all, and there's no flashing or response. It seems like the problem is with the controller itself, not the PS3 console. What are the possible causes of this malfunction? Are there any diagnostic or repair steps I can try?

Up d-pad button stopped working overnight while in charger.all other controls are fine. I've cleaned and checked for obstructions. Factory reset. Firmware update. Wired vs wireless.

The button is just fried for no apparent reason.

DualSense: DualSense rear case stuck near triggers - hidden clips won't release

I am trying to follow the DualSense Joystick Replacement guide (DualSense Joystick Replacement) and I am stuck on Step 12/Step 14. I have removed all four screws (bottom corners and behind L1/R1). I have successfully unclipped the bottom and side clips using a spudger.

However, the rear case is still firmly stuck near the L1 and R1 triggers. I've read about the hidden clips in newer revisions and tried prying the rear shell outwards while pulling up, but they won't budge. I'm afraid of applying too much force and cracking the shell or breaking the motherboard.

Does anyone have a specific trick or a different angle for a spudger to pop these specific 'hidden' clips near the shoulder buttons without damaging the plastic?
