Het beeldscherm van mijn laptop werkt niet meer. Eerst begon het beeld te flikkeren en na een tijd is het scherm gewoon zwart. Het probleem ligt wel effectief aan het scherm want als ik mijn laptop aansluit op de TV via HDMI-kabel werkt alles perfect. Iemand een idee hoe ik dit zelf kan oplossen ?

Na installatie van Lubuntu laadt de accu niet op. Is dit een probleem door Lubuntu? Moet ik een driver installeren? zo ja, welke en hoe?

Have tested the power cable (friends) so not the cable’power.

Have taken the battery out, held switch down for 20 sec’s then plugged in the cable, still no joy, not even a light.

Hi everybody. I forgot the password of my BIOS and am now struggling to reset it. I removed the battery for a whole week-end but the BIOS is still password protected. I think I must shortcut 2 pins but I don't know which ones. None is labelled G2201/RTC_RST/RTCRST/JCMOS.

I would be VERY gratful to anyone who can help :-)

Hello, I have a Packard Bell EasyNote LK (VAB70) laptop that is not booting.

It does charge the battery (red LED); when I press the power button there is a blue LED, the DVD drive moves, after a while the fan is spinning but that's it.

I tried a few things:
- reseat the screen connectors (both behind it and on the motherboard)
- remove the DVD drive, HDD, wifi card, coin battery
- reorder the RAM sticks - both work fine on another laptop and checked with Memtest86+
- connect an external monitor (HDMI and VGA), with and without the LCD panel connected
- shine a light in case the backlight was dead

I don't have its history; the motherboard does not seem to have water damage, what else could I try?
