OnePlus Nord 3: Issues with replacing a new screen

I've broken the screen on my OnePlus Nord 3 5G (model number CPH2493). I ordered a replacement screen (TFT - sans fingerprint scanner) which lit up, but didn't have the touchscreen work. I sent that back, ordered a different one (with fingerprint scanner) and this didn't light up at all, (the battery was charged as I'd left it plugged in for a few hours beforehand).
I sent this back and ordered from a different seller (with fingerprint scanner), and the same thing happens - I know the phone is on as when I move the notification slider on the side, the phone vibrates to indicate the different modes (although when I plug it in, it doesn't vibrate or make a sound, even on "ring" mode).

I'm beyond my technical expertise at this point, as I wouldn't know what to look into next. I've made sure the connector is seated properly for each screen, tried holding down the power button for a little while, keeping the phone plugged in. Any suggestions of what to try, check or test are welcome.

Thanks for your time.
