Microwave: My microwave is not heating, but the timer is working.

My Frigidaire microwave oven is not heating. The countdown timer runs as if it was heating, but that's about it. Any suggestions?

We have a GE Profile microwave oven that's probably 10-15 years old and the panel display has gotten very dim, and almost impossible to read during the day.

Is there a brightness control anywhere? Or do we need to replace the display?

GE Microwave Oven: G.E. Profile Microwave Door Button Won't Open Door

The door button on my G.E. Profile Microwave broke. When pushed, the button makes no contact with mechanism behind it. There is no resistance like there is when it is functioning. Therefore, the door cannot be opened and the turntable continues to go around slowly (without the microwave heating mechanism running).

GE Microwave Oven: Loud noise when turntable is in use.

I have an over the range microwave. A rattling noise can be heard when the turntable is in use. When the turntable is turned off there is no noise. I have tried removing the glass plate and turntable roller not no avail. Should I remove the bottom of the microwave to gain access to the turntable mechanism ?

Panasonic Microwave: model NN-SN966S Lost all control of the keypad exept Reset

First, out of the blue, the display screen showed the Power Level counting down repeatedly (P 10, P 9...) while at the same time the speaker was sending out a continuous beep, beep, beep.

When I unplugged the device for a couple minutes, then plugged the power cable back into the socket, the display came up flashing and showed 88:88. I pressed every button on the keypad and only the Reset button worked clearing the display and showed : and again none of the keys on the keypad worked.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking maybe the keypad failed or possibly the microprocessor. Is this even fixable?

Microwave: Making loud Hum when not on, but plugged in.

Samsung SMH2117S Microwave started making a loud hum a few days ago, I unplugged it over night and left it, plugged it back in the next day and still a loud hum, the hum stops when you open the door. As soon as you close the door, without pressing any buttons or starting the microwave the hum comes back. I took the microwave down from above the range, removed the cover to try and pin point where the noise is coming from. the hum is coming from the Magnetron. The unit will still heat food, and everything else seems to be working as normal. I don't really feel like it is safe to leave plugged in or even use. I have found a price on a new magnetron for this product for $115.(i live in canada) i have no problem buying a new one and replacing it. But i want to make sure that is the real problem.

Microwave: GE microwave: JVM3160RF4SS trips breaker during cook cycle

hello, today, all of a sudden our GE microwave, model, JVM3160RF4SS which we purchased in 2018 started tripping the circuit breaker. The circuit only trips when attempting to run a cook cycle. I am able to run the exhaust, all lights, open/close doors without any issues. While searching online for answers, i ran into several posts that mentioned checking the fuse. i have checked the fuse that is behind the plastic grill and it does not appear to be blown.

I am wondering if anyone has experienced this kind of failure before and have any suggestions on what could be the root cause.

JVM3160RF3SS: Fuse blowing when door is opened

Fuse blows if door is opened before end of heating. Can be opened anytime not in heating part of cycle.

Model is JVM3160 Df. How would I find the schematic for this?

GE Microwave Oven: Can I repair my - noisy but cold - microwave oven?

I have a GE JES738 700 Watt microwave oven that now makes a loud(er) sound when I try to heat something. The problem is that it no longer heats anything.

If it is something that I can fix, where would I find the parts?

Is it a complicated or dangerous process to mess with the inside of a microwave? Should I pay a local repair service to fix it?

Should I recycle the - just over a year old - appliance and purchase a new one?
